v1.9.10 – Mistral AI “Large”

An unexpected new AI model arrived on the scene from Mistral AI while I was working to improve the social login flow. Mistral AI launched a new flagship model “large” (version: 2402) yesterday scoring competitively against GPT4 with a score of 81.2% MMLU (Measuring massive multitask language understanding). GPT4 scored 86.4%. Considering these results I decided to add this model to the app first.

Sign-up / Sign-in for Social Logins

Since there was confusion among users regarding the sign-up and sign-in pages, they are being consolidated. Both pages had the same effect when an account didn’t exist yet (it would be created), this has now been indicated on the login page and instead of sign-up/sign-in it is now called “Continue with …”, where “…” should be replaced with the relevant social login provider. This is still a work in progress, but initial updates are available from v1.9.10 onwards.

Mistral AI Large (2402)

Mistral AI suddenly announced a new flagship model “large” that has been added to AI·AMA. It carries version code 2402 and is available through the Apps from version v1.9.10 onwards. Contrary to previous models from Mistral AI, this model is closed-source marking a possible change in their business model.

New AI Models

As mentioned above, this release sees the addition of one new AI model in the “chat” modality, namely “Mistral AI Large (2402)” and is available to everybody. I’m working to add additional models from TogetherAI, but they aren’t available yet.
