These terms apply to every article on this site. Each article names them in its Content Credential, so an article always carries the terms it was published under.

Where the articles on this site, text and images, are protected by copyright, that copyright rests with Novel Approaches unless an article says otherwise. To republish a whole article, or to translate or adapt one, ask us first.

What the law already allows
Some uses need no permission from us, because the law allows them. For example: quoting from an article, naming the source, as far as your purpose justifies it; linking to it; and reading it and keeping a copy for your own study or use.

Text and data mining, AI training included
We make no reservation against text and data mining under Article 15o of the Dutch Copyright Act and Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790. Anyone may use our articles for it: search engines, AI answer services, and the training of AI models. The site says the same in machine-readable form, in /robots.txt, in /.well-known/tdmrep.json and in each article's Content Credential. Mining an article does not give permission to republish it; for that, see point 1.

Images
The images in our articles follow the same terms as the text, unless a caption names another source; then that source's terms apply.

No Creative Commons licence
No Creative Commons licence applies to any article on this site. If one ever does, that article will say so and link to the licence.

Version 1 stays version 1
We will not change what these terms say. New terms would appear at /rights/2, and each article keeps the terms it was published under; its Content Credential names them.
The law can allow more than these terms say; it always prevails.
If the language versions of this page differ, the Dutch text governs.
